The Apprentice Series sparring swords are designed for rugged reliability. These swords are less expensive training versions of the Master series. This no-nonsense series is intended for serious martial arts practitioners or anyone looking for a less expensive, durable, and safe sword. These full tang swords are also a great low cost option for live performance, stage, or movies.
Since Knights had less polished younger men in training under them we thought it appropriate to declare these swords "The Apprentice Series". The specs are the same as the master series but the swords are not as finely finished as in the Master Series. The Materials and quality of construction are just as high as the other series but there may be some superficial blemishes left on the sword which keeps the price lower. The rounded tips are left wider than is available in the Master series for added safety. There is a healthy radius where the upper tang meets the blade for added strength.
The blades are made with 7075 very high-strength aluminum alloy. The hilt components are steel with a light coat of wax to help prevent rust. The handle is the
standard treated cord wrap which looks nice and provide a very secure grip. Some pictures below still show the old
style handle which was "synthetic antique wood". The picture to the left is a sample of the cord wrap.
Our Noble Armory Swords are built to last. While they are more expensive than wooden wasters or plastic swords they will be less expensive in the long run due to the cost of replacing splintered or broken wood/plastic swords. The greater satisfaction, durability, and realism of our handmade swords is well worth the higher cost. The Apprentice Series swords are also much cheaper and safer than well made steel blade training swords.
