The Claymore is a traditional war sword of the Scottish Highlanders during the 15th and 16th century. The word "Claymore" is Gaelic for "claidheamh-more" which is translated "great sword". It has a simple yet effective double edged design with a slightly tapered blade. The design of this sword was mainly for very powerful cutting but it can also deliver a devastating thrust. This sword has a distinctive long lasting ring when struck.
The 7075 aluminum alloy blade makes this a very durable weapon. The steel guard and pommel give this sword superb weight and balance characteristics. |
