Affordable training grade version of the Master Cutlass.
This sword used by and against pirates, privateers, and many national navies was chosen above other sword styles for its simplicity, speed, power, and good hand protection in close quarter ship combat. Since wearing gauntlets for hand protection was not always practical or desirable the added protection of the guard on this cutlass saves many blows to the hand during sparring with friend or foe. It has a nice ringing sound during use.
The 7075 aluminum alloy blade makes this a very durable weapon. The steel guard and pommel give this sword great weight and balance characteristics.
